    Hello,

I am thinking about learning VBA during this winter break. Is there any learning resources recommended? I am relatively familiar with basic Excel, but barely no anything about VBA/Macro yet

    Thanks in advance!

I would recommend using Lynda.com. We have free subscription as a student here at UW. They offer a TON of courses with helpful videos, transcripts of the video, and exercise files! It is a great resource!

I second what Megan said! My first internship involved some heavy VBA coding, and although I had no previous knowledge of the tool, through Lynda’s guidance I was able to create some fairly rigorous programs.

Learning VBA is definitely a good use of time over break. You will almost certainly recognize the opportunity to apply the tool in your future job or internship, saving lots of wasted time by doing so.

Interestingly, I posted these links in a different forum before I stumbled across this one.

    Some links:

I use Lynda to learn or sharpen my Excel skills but for the most part, assignments strengthen my core of understanding especially when its given at work with a due date!

Take a fun project sometime to see if you can have a hand with using codes to resolve it rather than a straight forward approach.

    I hope that helps!
